Beverley Wednesday Market
Welcome to Beverley Wednesday Market
A council operated market with a variety of stallholders for local produce, craft and every day items.
Historically, Beverley market was held in the south of the town, in a large triangular piece of land by the Minster between Eastgate and Highgate. Gradually shops and other buildings were erected on this market place and it shrunk in size. The market continued to be held there but it became known as the Wednesday Market.
Today, sitting in the shadow of the historic Beverley Minster; as the name suggests Wednesday market runs every Wednesday, with traditional market stalls supplemented by a new street food element where customers can come and get lunch from our range of street food stalls, all in a piazza style setting. In addition to this our neighbouring bars and cafes ensure that café culture in the Wednesday market area is alive and well.
There is plenty of parking around the town of Beverley that is within easy walking distance to the market. There are disabled parking spaces available on Cross Street and by the Treasure House. Please note, the Wednesday Market Car Park is closed for the duration of the market, plus time for setting up and packing away. All stallholder vehicles must be moved before the market opens.
Wednesday Market is flat paving, set up in the car park area between shops.
The train station is just a minute's walk from Wednesday Market and the bus station is only five minutes walk away.
